Bunk Beds With Stairs - Safe?

As a mom, I know one of the most important things to us is our kids' safety. So when looking at bunk beds with stairs, I know safety is a big factor for me. But when I think about a regular bunk bed with a ladder, I don't really think of it as being super dangerous. I mean, I know there's a risk of falling. But once your kids get used to it, it's pretty easy to get up and down. So then when I think about bunk beds with stairs instead of a ladder, that just makes me feel even more confident that my kids will stay safe. Of course, it's still best to stay with them as they get used to walking up and down the stairs at first. And I have one crazy little boy who would most likely try to run up and down. Oh, and don't forget jumping off the tallest step. I mean, once he puts his cape on, he is a superhero after all. LOL. So if you have a child like this in your family, then you may want to just explain the dangers of being too crazy around the steps and the dangers of falling on them. Maybe they can be a superhero from the closest step to the floor. :) As far as the top bunk, every bunk bed I've seen on my search has had railings on all four sides. There's a small opening on the side of the stairs or ladder where the child can get in. When they're laying down, there's not really a way for them to fall through that space - it's too small. If your child is a really wild sleeper, then you may want to consider if there's a risk of your child going over the top of the railing. Overall, bunk beds with stairs are just as safe, if not safer than bunk bed with ladders. And any good company is going to follow safety standards so that the risk of injury is really small. If you do your research, I know you'll find bunk beds with stairs are a great option.
