Jump rings is an important connecting part for your jewelry, simply speaking, it is only a wire loop, and the way you open it is the same as the way you make a jump ring. Jump Rings have various uses in handmade jewelry making such as connecting loops, as a links for chains, as end caps etc. The available sizes are from 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.5mm and 2mm wires. The jump rings internal diameter rang is from 2 to 20mm. If you need a technique for opening jump rings here is something for you. First, using two needle nose pliers, hold both sides of the jump ring with a pair of pliers. Pull one side of the jump ring to the front and the other side to the back. Move gently so that you don't put too much stress on the jump ring. Now your jump ring is open. To close the jump ring, move both pliers in the opposite direction. When you close the ring, you should hear a soft clicking noise, indicating that both ends of the ring are touching. One of the problems is that sometimes when you are closing the ring, it is broken, so just look at the jump ring material before you do this, and you can also use soft metal wire to make a jump ring. And the key is you need to get a perfect round shape, if you can not, a oval one is acceptable.Wholesale jewelry source
